Ariel Janzen of brightwhitepace to Speak at January AAF Savannah Meeting

Ariel Janzen of brightwhitespace will presentYour Logo is Not Your Image: Creating a True Visual Identity at the next AAF Savannah meeting. The session will include Ariel's notes on creating, understanding and implementing identity guidelines, 10 easy tips for controlling your own communication chaos, and how the 40+ departments of the City of Savannah finally came to adopt a single mark.

Ariel Janzen spends her time creating, refining & following identity guidelines for small businesses, non-profits and corporate in-house design teams. She holds a masters degree in graphic design from SCAD and has over 12 years of web and identity design experience, having worked as an art director in Toronto before relocating to Savannah in 2001. In 2004 she founded the graphic design firm brightwhitespace, which has re-branded dozens of organizations including the City of Savannah, designed and helped publish over twenty books, and works with web teams to create highly functional custom sites. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in literature, loves typography and kerns letters in her spare time.

The January AAF Savannah meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 20th at the Hilton Garden Inn on Abercorn (across from 12 Oaks Shopping Center). Networking begins at 11:30; speaker starts at noon. Cost to members is $25.
